Spicy Galangal Pasta
A spicy and indulgent Korean-inspired pasta dish made with galangal, perfect for a quick dinner.
Ingredients
- β2 inches galangalpeeled and thinly sliced
- β8 oz pastalinguine or fettuccine
- β2 tbsp vegetable oil
- β2 tbsp gochujangKorean chili paste
- β1 tbsp soy sauce
- β1 tsp brown sugar
- β1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- β1/4 cup green onionschopped, for garnish
- β1 tsp sesame seeds
- β1/4 cup crushed peanuts

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente.

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

Add the sliced galangal and cook until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.

Add the gochujang, soy sauce, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes.
