Filipino-Style Breakfast Sandwich
A twist on the classic breakfast sandwich with a Filipino-inspired twist. Toasted ciabatta is topped with a fried egg, sweet and spicy jammy Filipino sausage, and melted cheese.
Ingredients
- β4 links Filipino sausage
- β1 loaf Ciabatta
- β2 Egglarge eggs
- β4 slices CheeseAmerican or cheddar
- β1 tablespoon Butter
- β2 tablespoons Jamsweet and spicy jam

1. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.

2. Add 1 tablespoon of butter to the skillet.

3. Once the butter is melted, add the Filipino sausage and cook until browned on both sides.

4. Meanwhile, toast the ciabatta by slicing it and placing it in the oven at 350Β°F (180Β°C) for 5-7 minutes.

5. Crack the eggs into a bowl and whisk them together.

6. Add the eggs to the skillet and scramble them until cooked through.

7. Assemble the sandwich by placing a cooked egg on the bottom half of the toasted ciabatta, followed by a slice of cheese and a few slices of the Filipino sausage.

8. Place the other half of the ciabatta on top of the sandwich and serve hot.
