American-Style Apple Pie
A classic American dessert made with a flaky crust and tender apples. Perfect for any occasion.

- β1 cup Buttercold, cut into small pieces
- β1 cup Sugargranulated sugar
- β6 ApplesGranny Smith, peeled and sliced

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Make the crust: Combine flour, salt, and cold butter in a bowl. Use a pastry blender or your fingers to work the butter into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.

Gradually add cold water, stirring with a fork until the dough comes together in a ball.

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to a thickness of about 1/8 inch.

Transfer the dough to a 9-inch pie dish and trim the edges to fit.

Fill the pie crust with the sliced apples, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.

In a separate bowl, mix together sugar, eggs, cinnamon, and melted butter. Pour this mixture over the apples.

Roll out the remaining dough to a thickness of about 1/8 inch. Use this to cover the pie and crimp the edges to seal.
