Moroccan Chicken Tagine
A traditional Moroccan stew cooked in a clay pot with chicken, preserved lemons, and spices.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 pounds chicken breast
- β2 tablespoons olive oil
- β1 large onionchopped
- β3 cloves garlicminced
- β1 teaspoon moroccan chicken seasoning
- β1 teaspoon cumin
- β1/2 teaspoon coriander
- β1/4 teaspoon salt
- β1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- β1 tablespoon lemon juice

Heat oil in the clay pot over medium heat.

Add onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add chicken and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.

Add moroccan chicken seasoning, cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.

Add chicken broth and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.

Stir in lemon juice and adjust seasoning as needed.
