Australian Beef Stew
A hearty beef stew with an Australian twist, featuring tender chunks of beef and a rich, spicy broth.
Ingredients
- β500g beefchuck or round
- β2 onionchopped
- β4 cloves garlicminced
- β2 carrotpeeled and chopped
- β2 potatopeeled and chopped
- β2 tbsp tomato pastedried
- β1L beef brothhomemade or store-bought
- β250ml red wineoptional
- β2 tbsp spicy saucesuch as sriracha

Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.

Add the chopped onion and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add the beef and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Add the chopped carrot and potato, and cook for 2 minutes.

Add the tomato paste, beef broth, red wine (if using), and spicy sauce.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 1.5 hours.
