Braised Pork Stew
A classic comfort food dish from the Philippines, this braised pork stew is a hearty and flavorful meal.
Ingredients

- ●2 medium onions
- ●4 cloves garlic
- ●2 cups pork broth
- ●2 tablespoons soy sauce
- ●1 tablespoon brown sugar
- ●2 leaves bay leaves
- ●1 teaspoon black peppercorns

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium heat.

Brown the pork shoulder on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Remove the pork and set aside.

Add more oil if necessary and sauté the onions and garlic until softened.

Add the pork broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, bay leaves, and black peppercorns.
