Indian-Style Kachori Buns
A delicious and crispy kachori filled with spices and served in a soft bun.
Ingredients
- β2 cups all-purpose flour
- β1 teaspoon yeast
- β1 cup warm wateraround 100Β°F
- β1/4 cup vegetable oil
- β1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- β1 teaspoon coriander powder
- β1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- β1/2 teaspoon salt
- β4-6 tablespoons kachori filling (see below)

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, and salt. Gradually add warm water and mix until a dough forms.

Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.

Preheat oil in a deep frying pan to 350Β°F.

Divide the dough into 4-6 equal portions and shape each portion into a ball.

Flatten each ball into a disk and place 1-2 tablespoons of kachori filling in the center.

Fold the dough over the filling and press the edges together to seal the kachori.

Fry the kachori in hot oil until golden brown and puffed up.

Drain the kachori on paper towels and serve in a soft bun with your favorite chutney.
