Classic Turkish Doner Kebab

Preheat a vertical spit or a grill to medium-high heat.

Slice the lamb into thin strips and season with salt and black pepper.

Thread the lamb onto skewers, if using.

Meanwhile, toast the pita bread on the grill or in a toaster.
