Seafood Tagine
A hearty seafood stew originating from North Africa, made with a blend of spices and quintessential tagine flavors.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Fish (such as cod or tilapia)Cut into bite-sized pieces
- β1 cup MusselsDe-shelled and scrubbed
- β1 cup ClamsDe-shelled and scrubbed
- β2 medium OnionsChopped
- β2 inches GingerSliced
- β3 cloves GarlicMinced
- β2 tablespoons Quintessential tagine spice mixAvailable at most Middle Eastern markets
- β2 cups Seafood brothChicken or vegetable broth can be substituted
- β2 tablespoons Lemon juiceFreshly squeezed
- β2 tablespoons Olive oilFor serving

Heat the olive oil in a large, heavy pot over medium heat.

Add the onions, ginger, and garlic and cook until the onions are translucent.

Add the fish, mussels, clams, and seafood broth to the pot.

Stir in the quintessential tagine spice mix and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to low, cover the pot, and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the seafood is cooked through.

Stir in the lemon juice and season with salt and pepper to taste.
