Uruguayan Steak Yakitori
A Japanese-inspired dish featuring grilled Uruguayan steak, served with a sweet soy sauce glaze and sesame seeds.
Ingredients
- β4 steaks Uruguayan steak1 inch thick
- β1/4 cup Sesame seedstoasted
- β1/4 cup Sweet soy saucestore-bought or homemade
- β1 cup Sushi ricecooked
- β1/4 cup Japanese pickled gingersliced
- β1/4 cup Green onionschopped
- β2 tablespoons Sesame oilfor brushing
- βto taste Saltpreferably Japanese Himalayan
- βto taste Black pepperfreshly ground

Preheat grill to medium-high heat.

Season the Uruguayan steak with salt and black pepper.

Grill the steak for 4-5 minutes per side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness.

Brush the steak with sesame oil during the last minute of grilling.

Let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Meanwhile, heat the sweet soy sauce in a small saucepan over low heat.

Stir in toasted sesame seeds and cook for 1-2 minutes, or until the glaze has thickened.

Serve the sliced steak with sushi rice, Japanese pickled ginger, and green onions.
