Argentinian Empanada with Beans
A classic Argentinian dish, these empanadas are filled with juicy beans and perfect for a snack or light meal.
Ingredients
- β1 cup beans, cooked
- β4-6 pieces resting empanada doughAvailable at most Latin American markets
- β1 tablespoon olive oil
- β1/4 cup onion, chopped
- β1 clove garlic, minced
- β1 teaspoon cumin
- βto taste salt
- βto taste pepper
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Roll out each piece of empanada dough into a thin circle.

Place a tablespoon of olive oil on each dough circle and spread evenly.

Add 1/4 cup of cooked beans to the center of each dough circle.

Sprinkle the chopped onion and minced garlic over the beans.

Sprinkle the cumin over the top.

Fold the dough in half to form a half-circle and press the edges together to seal.
