Kenyan Biryani Keto Dinner
A keto version of the traditional Kenyan biryani dish, made with flavorful meat and spices.
Ingredients
- β500g Beef (sirloin or ribeye)Choose a high-fat cut of meat, suitable for a keto diet.
- β100g Rice (cauliflower-based or coconut-based)Use a low-carb alternative to traditional rice.
- β1 medium OnionsChopped, to add flavor and texture.
- β2 cloves GarlicMinced, to add flavor.
- β1-inch piece GingerGrated, to add flavor and aroma.
- β2 tablespoons Coconut oilFor cooking and adding flavor.
- β1 teaspoon each Spices (cumin, coriander, turmeric, paprika)To add flavor and aroma.
- βto taste SaltTo season and bring out flavors.

Heat the coconut oil in a large pan over medium heat.

Add the chopped onions and cook until they're lightly browned, about 5 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and grated ginger and cook for another minute, until fragrant.

Add the beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

Add the spices, salt, and rice to the pan and stir to combine.

Cook for another 5-7 minutes, until the rice is lightly toasted.

Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and cover with foil.

Bake in a preheated oven at 375Β°F (190Β°C) for 20-25 minutes, or until the meat is cooked through and the rice is tender.
