Classic American Cheeseburger
A juicy beef patty topped with melted cheese, fresh lettuce, and a slice of tomato, all sandwiched between a toasted bun.
Ingredients
- β0.5 lb Ground beef80/20 lean to fat ratio
- β4 leaves Lettuce
- β1 medium TomatoFresh, not canned
- β2 slices American cheese
- β2 Brioche buns
- β1 tbsp Mayonnaise
- β1 tbsp Ketchup
- β1/4 cup Pickles
- β1 medium OnionsThinly sliced

1. Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

2. Form the ground beef into 2 patties, about 3/4 inch thick.

3. Season the patties with salt and pepper on both sides.

4. Grill the patties for 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 130Β°F - 135Β°F for medium-rare.

5. Meanwhile, toast the buns on the grill or in a toaster.

6. Assemble the burgers by spreading mayonnaise on the bottom bun, followed by a lettuce leaf, a tomato slice, a beef patty, a cheese slice, and finally the top bun.
