Spanish Chickpea Stew
A hearty and flavorful Spanish-inspired stew made with chickpeas, rich and creamy sauce, and a blend of spices.
Ingredients
- β1 can (14 oz) chickpeas
- β1 medium onionchopped
- β2 cloves garlicminced
- β1 can (14 oz) canned crushed tomatoes
- β2 tbsp olive oil
- β1 tsp smoked paprika
- β1 tsp cumin
- β1 tsp salt
- β1 tsp black pepper
- β2 tbsp rich & creamy saucestore-bought or homemade
Instructions

Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.

Add the chickpeas, crushed tomatoes, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper.

Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.

Reduce heat to low and let stew for 20-25 minutes.

Stir in the rich & creamy sauce and let simmer for an additional 5 minutes.

Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
