Venezuelan Seitan Stew in Donabe
A hearty, comforting stew made with seitan, inspired by Venezuelan flavors, cooked in a rich donabe.

- β1 donabe
- β250g seitanstore-bought
- β1 medium onion
- β3 cloves garlic
- β2 tbsp tomato paste
- β1 tsp glazed venezuelan coffeeavailable at specialty stores
- β1 tbsp soy sauce
- β400ml rich broth

Instructions

Heat 2 tbsp of oil in the donabe over medium heat.

Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, 5 minutes.

Add the tomato paste and cook for 1 minute.

Add the seitan, soy sauce, and coffee, and stir to combine.

Pour in the broth and bring to a boil.

Transfer to the oven and bake at 200Β°C (400Β°F) for 20 minutes.
