Ethiopian-Style Yaki Beef Pilaf
A flavorful and spicy dish combining the rich flavors of Ethiopia with the popular Japanese yaki beef. This pilaf is perfect for a weeknight dinner.
Ingredients

- ●2 cups ki rice
- ●2 teaspoons pilaf spices
- ●1 medium onionchopped
- ●2 inches gingergrated
- ●3 cloves garlicminced
- ●1 teaspoon ethiopian berbere spice

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the yaki beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

Add more oil if necessary and sauté the onion and ginger until softened.

Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Stir in the pilaf spices and cook for 1 minute.

Add the rice and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.

Add 2 cups of water to the skillet and bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is tender.
