Filipino-Style Pancit with Guanciale and Rich Sauce
A delicious and savory pancit dish made with guanciale, rich sauce, and a hint of Filipino flavors.
Ingredients
- β1 pack Pancitavailable in most Asian markets
- β4 oz GuancialeItalian cured pork jowl
- β2 tbsp Rich sauceavailable in most Asian markets
- β2 tbsp Vegetable oilfor stir-frying
- β3 cloves Garlicminced
- β1 medium Onionchopped
- β1 inch Gingergrated
- β Salt and pepperto taste
- βchopped Fresh cilantrofor garnish

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large wok or frying pan over medium heat.

Add the guanciale and cook until crispy, about 2-3 minutes.

Remove the guanciale from the pan and set aside.

Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the pan.

Add the garlic, onion, and ginger and stir-fry until the onion is translucent.

Add the pancit and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.

Add the rich sauce and stir-fry for another minute.

Return the guanciale to the pan and stir-fry for another minute.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot.
