Egyptian Rice Casserole
A simple and delicious rice casserole with a rich, fluffy texture, inspired by Egyptian cuisine.
Ingredients
- β1 cup Egyptian ricepreferably day-old rice
- β1 cup milkwhole or 2% milk works best
- β1/2 cup rich casserolea generic term for a mix of shredded cheese and spices
- β1/4 cup fluffy soytoasted and chopped soy nuts
- βto taste salt
- βto taste black pepper

Preheat the oven to 350Β°F (180Β°C).

In a medium saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it starts to simmer.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the Egyptian rice, rich casserole, fluffy soy, salt, and black pepper.

Pour the hot milk over the rice mixture and stir until everything is well combined.

Transfer the mixture to a 9x13 inch baking dish and cover with aluminum foil.

Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the casserole is hot and the rice is tender.
