Slovakian Pork Dumplings
A hearty Slovakian dish featuring pork and fluffy dumplings, perfect for a cold winter evening.
Ingredients
- β500g Pork shoulder
- β250g All-purpose flour
- β2 Eggs
- β100g Sour cream
- β1 tsp Salt
- β1 tsp Black pepper
- β1 package Rich, fluffy pastry doughavailable at most supermarkets

1. Preheat the oven to 180Β°C (350Β°F).

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the pork shoulder, flour, eggs, sour cream, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

4. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pastry dough to a thickness of about 3mm (1/8 inch).

5. Cut the dough into squares of about 10cm (4 inches) per side.

6. Place a tablespoon of the pork mixture in the center of each square.

7. Fold the dough over the filling, pressing the edges together to seal the dumpling.

8. Place the dumplings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

9. Brush the tops of the dumplings with a little bit of water and sprinkle with additional flour.

10. Bake the dumplings in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.

11. Serve hot with your choice of sides, such as a simple green salad or a side of steamed vegetables.
