Bacon Tagine
A rich and flavorful tagine dish made with crispy bacon and exotic spices. Perfect for a cozy dinner.
Ingredients
- β6 slices Baconthick-cut
- β2 tbsp Olive oilfor cooking
- β1 medium Onionchopped
- β3 cloves Garlicminced
- β1 tsp Gingergrated
- β1 tsp Cuminground
- β1 tsp Paprikasmoked
- β1 can Tomatoesdiced
- β1 tsp Moroccan spicestagine blend
- β1 cup Chicken brothlow-sodium

Preheat oven to 300Β°F (150Β°C).

Cook the bacon in a large oven-safe pot over medium heat until crispy. Remove from pot and set aside.

Add the olive oil, onion, garlic, and ginger to the pot. Cook until the onion is translucent.

Add the cumin, paprika, and Moroccan spices. Cook for 1 minute.

Add the tomatoes, chicken broth, and cooked bacon to the pot. Stir to combine.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then cover the pot and transfer to the preheated oven.

Braise the tagine for 30 minutes, or until the meat is tender and the sauce has thickened.
