Traditional Russian-Style Pierogi
A classic Russian dish made with tender dumplings filled with a mix of potatoes, cheese, and fried onions. Serve with a dollop of sour cream.
Ingredients

- β1/2 cup Warm water
- β2 cups Mashed potatoes
- β1 cup Grated cheddar cheese
- β1/2 cup Fried onions
- β1 Egg
- βto taste Salt

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and warm water. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

Divide the dough into 2 equal parts. Roll out each part into a thin sheet.

In a separate bowl, mix together mashed potatoes, grated cheese, and fried onions.

Place small spoonfuls of the potato mixture onto the center of each dough sheet. Fold the dough over the filling and press the edges together to seal the pierogi.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Gently add the pierogi and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until they float to the surface.
