Pork Ssam Italian Wrap
A unique fusion of Italian flavors and Korean-style pork ssam. Tender pork, crunchy vegetables, and creamy sauce wrapped in a crispy Italian flatbread.
Ingredients
- β1 pound pork shoulderboneless
- β1 package Italian flatbread4-6 wraps
- β1 cup ricotta cheesedrained
- β2 teaspoons Korean chili flakes (gochugaru)
- β2 tablespoons soy sauce
- β1/4 cup green onionschopped
- β1/2 cup cucumbersliced
- β1/4 cup carrotspeeled and grated
- β2 cloves garlicminced
- β2 tablespoons olive oil

Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Season the pork shoulder with salt, pepper, and Korean chili flakes.

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat.

Sear the pork shoulder until browned on all sides, then transfer to the oven and cook until tender, about 20-25 minutes.

Meanwhile, toast the Italian flatbread slices in the oven for 2-3 minutes, or until crispy.

In a small bowl, mix together ricotta cheese, soy sauce, and minced garlic.

Assemble the wraps by spreading a tablespoon of ricotta mixture on each flatbread slice.

Top with sliced cucumber, grated carrots, chopped green onions, and a few slices of the cooked pork shoulder.
