Beef and British Pie
A hearty, rich pie filled with slow-cooked beef and topped with a flaky crust.
Ingredients
- ●1 pound Beef (chuck or round)
- ●1 large Onion
- ●2 medium Carrots
- ●2 large Potatoes
- ●2 tablespoons All-purpose flourfor thickening
- ●1 cup Beef broth
- ●2 teaspoons Brown gravy mix
- ●2 tablespoons Butterfor crust
- ●1 package Pie crust (homemade or store-bought)
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Peel and chop the onion, carrots, and potatoes.

In a large pan, sauté the chopped onion, carrots, and potatoes in butter until tender.

Add the beef to the pan and cook until browned.

Add the flour, beef broth, and brown gravy mix to the pan, stirring to combine.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.

Roll out the pie crust and place it in a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Fill the pie crust with the beef mixture and cover with another pie crust or a pie crust top.

Brush the top of the pie with butter and cut a few slits in the top to allow steam to escape.

Bake the pie for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
