Moroccan Chebakia
A traditional Moroccan dessert made with honey and spices, served with a crunchy sesame seed topping.
Ingredients
- β1 cup Honey
- β1 cup Sesame seeds
- β1/4 cup Vegetable oil
- β2 cups All-purpose flour
- β2 tsp Orange blossom water
- β1 tsp Ground cinnamon
- β1 tsp Ground ginger
- β1/4 tsp Salt
- β1/2 cup Pistachios

Preheat the oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cinnamon, ginger, and salt.

Add the honey, vegetable oil, and orange blossom water to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.

Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

Divide the dough into small pieces and shape each piece into a triangle.

Heat the sesame seeds in a pan over medium heat until fragrant and lightly browned.

Dip each triangle into the sesame seeds, coating both sides evenly.

Place the triangles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
