Traditional Polish Pork Casserole
A hearty and comforting Polish-inspired casserole filled with rich flavors of roasted pork. Perfect for a cozy dinner night.
Ingredients
- ●1 pound Roasted Pork ShoulderShredded or diced
- ●1 cup Rich Mushroom GravyHomemade or store-bought
- ●1/2 pound Polish SausageSliced
- ●1 cup Caramelized OnionsSautéed
- ●1/4 cup Fresh ParsleyChopped
- ●1 teaspoon Garlic PowderTo taste
- ●to taste Salt and PepperAdjust to taste
- ●1 cup Diced CarrotsOptional
- ●1 cup Diced PotatoesOptional
- ●2 tablespoons All-Purpose FlourFor thickening gravy

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet, sauté diced carrots and potatoes (if using) until tender.

In a separate skillet, cook Polish sausage until browned, breaking apart with a spoon.

Add caramelized onions, roasted pork, and mushroom gravy to the sausage skillet. Stir to combine.

Transfer the pork mixture to a 9x13 inch baking dish. Top with chopped parsley and garlic powder.

In a small bowl, whisk together flour and a splash of water to make a slurry. Pour the slurry into the pork mixture, stirring to combine.

Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.

Remove foil and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the top is lightly browned.
