Sweetcorn and Uruguayan Dumplings Delight
A hearty and flavorful dish that combines the sweetness of corn with the rich taste of uruguayan dumplings.
Ingredients
- β2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- β3/4 cup warm waterfor dumpling dough
- β1 lb uruguayan rich sausage
- β1 cup sweetcorn kernels
- β2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- β1 medium onionchopped
- β2 cloves garlicminced
- β1 teaspoon salt
- β1/2 teaspoon black pepper

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and warm water to form a dough. Knead for 5 minutes.

Divide the dough into 8-10 equal pieces and roll each into a ball.

On a floured surface, use a rolling pin to flatten each ball into a thin circle.

Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the uruguayan rich sausage to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.

Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is translucent.

Add the sweetcorn kernels to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Place a dumpling on top of the filling in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes or until the bottom is golden brown.

Flip the dumpling over and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes or until the other side is also golden brown.

Repeat with the remaining dumplings and serving.

Serve the sweetcorn and uruguayan dumplings hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
