Rerremen Fermented Plant-Based Burger
A unique, plant-based burger featuring fermented flavors and a rich, dutch-styled twist.
Ingredients
- β1 cup Rerremensoaked overnight
- β1/2 cup Fermented plant-based milkunflavored
- β2 tbsp Dutch-processed cocoa powder
- β1 tsp Nutritional yeast
- β1/4 tsp Salt
- β1/8 tsp Black pepper
- β1 tbsp Olive oil
- β1 small Onionfinely chopped
- β1 clove Garlicminced
- β1/4 cup Breadcrumbs

1. Preheat a non-stick skillet or grill over medium heat.

2. In a large bowl, mash the rerremen with a fork until it's mostly smooth.

3. Add the fermented plant-based milk, cocoa powder, nutritional yeast, salt, and black pepper to the bowl. Mix well.

4. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the bowl and mix until combined.

5. Using your hands, shape the mixture into 4-6 patties, depending on desired size.

6. Brush the patties with olive oil and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown.

7. Meanwhile, toast the breadcrumbs in a dry skillet over medium heat until lightly browned.

8. Assemble the burgers by placing a cooked patty on a toasted bun and topping with toasted breadcrumbs.
