Spiced Ukrainian Casserole
A hearty and flavorful casserole filled with Ukrainian-inspired spices and cheese. Great for a cold winter night.
Ingredients
- β8 oz Casserole pasta
- β1 lb Ground beef80/20 mix
- β1 medium Onionchopped
- β3 cloves Garlicminced
- β2 tbsp Richly spiced tomato paste
- β1 cup, shredded Ukrainian cheese
- β1 cup Milk
- β1 Egg

Preheat oven to 350Β°F (180Β°C).

Cook casserole pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium-high heat until browned, breaking into small pieces.

Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until onion is translucent.

Stir in richly spiced tomato paste. Cook for 1-2 minutes.

Combine cooked casserole pasta, meat mixture, and Ukrainian cheese in a large mixing bowl.

In a separate bowl, whisk milk and egg. Add to the pasta mixture and stir until combined.

Transfer pasta mixture to a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
