German Roast Pastry
A sweet German-inspired pastry filled with roasted flavors.
Ingredients
- β1 package Roast Pastry DoughStore-bought or homemade dough
- β1 cup Malai MilkCan be substituted with heavy cream
- β2 tablespoons Unsalted ButterSoftened
- β2 tablespoons Granulated SugarAdjust to taste
- β0.25 teaspoon Ground CinnamonOptional
- β0.125 teaspoon Ground NutmegOptional

Preheat the oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Roll out the pastry dough to a thickness of 1/8 inch.

Cut out circles of dough using a cookie cutter or the rim of a glass.

In a small bowl, mix together the malai milk, unsalted butter, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg.

Place a tablespoon of the malai milk mixture in the center of each dough circle.

Fold the dough over the filling, pressing the edges together to seal.

Brush the tops of the pastries with a little extra malai milk.

Place the pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastries are golden brown.
