Shrimp and Scallop Seafood Tagine
This Italian-inspired dish combines the flavors of Egypt with the freshness of seafood. A hearty and aromatic tagine made with shrimp, scallops, and a blend of spices.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Shrimppeeled and deveined
- β1 pound Scallopstough side muscles removed
- β2 tablespoons Olive oilfor cooking
- β2 teaspoons Mixed tagine spice blendor use a mix of cumin, coriander, and cinnamon
- β2 cloves Egyptian roasted garlicminced
- β1 cup White winedry, such as Pinot Grigio
- β1/4 cup Fresh parsleychopped, for garnish

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Add the shrimp and scallops and cook until they start to brown, about 2-3 minutes.

Add the tagine spice blend and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Add the white wine and bring to a simmer.

Reduce the heat to low and simmer, covered, for 5-7 minutes, or until the seafood is cooked through.

Stir in the chopped parsley and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve the seafood hot, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
