Irish Beetroot Gratin
A hearty and comforting dish that combines the sweetness of beetroot with the richness of a gratin topping.
Ingredients

- β2 cloves Garlic
- β1 cup Grated cheese
- β1/2 cup Breadcrumbs

- β Salt and pepper
- β Fresh herbs (optional)

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Peel and slice the beetroot into 1/2-inch thick rounds.

In a large saucepan, combine the sliced beetroot, butter, garlic, and a pinch of salt and pepper.

Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the beetroot is tender and lightly caramelized.

Transfer the beetroot mixture to a baking dish and top with grated cheese, breadcrumbs, and a splash of milk.
