Smoky Syrian Roast Lamb
A flavorful and tender roast lamb dish infused with smoky and middle eastern flavors.
Ingredients
- ●1.5 kg Lamb shoulderpreferably bone-in
- ●3 cloves Roasted garlicminced
- ●2 tsp Smoked paprika
- ●1 tsp Syrian allspice
- ●1 tsp Salt
- ●1 tsp Black pepper
- ●2-3 medium Roast potatoessliced

Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F).

Season the lamb shoulder with salt and black pepper.

In a small bowl, mix together roasted garlic, smoked paprika, and Syrian allspice.

Rub the spice mixture all over the lamb shoulder, making sure to coat it evenly.

Place the lamb shoulder in a roasting pan and put it in the oven.

Roast the lamb for 20 minutes, then reduce the oven temperature to 180°C (350°F) and continue roasting for 2-3 hours, or until the lamb is tender and falls apart easily.

While the lamb is roasting, toss the sliced roast potatoes with a little bit of oil and season with salt and pepper.

After the lamb has roasted for 2 hours, add the potatoes to the roasting pan and continue roasting for another 30-40 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden brown.

Remove the lamb and potatoes from the oven and let them rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
