German Curry Chicken
A twist on traditional German cuisine, this dish combines the flavors of India with classic German comfort. Chicken cooked in a rich curry sauce, served with a side of bitter greens.
Ingredients
- ●1 pound Chicken breast
- ●2 tablespoons Malai curry paste
- ●1 cup German beerused for cooking
- ●1 bag Bitter greens
- ●2 medium German potatoes
- ●1 medium Romantic red onion
- ●to taste Salt
- ●to taste Black pepper
- ●2 tablespoons Olive oil
- ●1 sprig German parsley

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Season the chicken with salt and pepper.

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken until browned, about 5 minutes.

Remove the chicken from the pot and set aside.

Add curry paste to the pot and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Add beer to the pot, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom.

Return the chicken to the pot and cover with a lid.

Transfer the pot to the preheated oven and braise for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.

While the chicken cooks, boil the potatoes until tender. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, sauté the bitter greens with olive oil until wilted.

To serve, slice the chicken and serve with potatoes, bitter greens, and garnish with parsley.
