Spicy Korean Jeon with Tofu and Sesame
A twist on traditional Korean-style pancakes, this version features crispy tofu and a side of spicy dipping sauce.
Ingredients
- β1 block (14 oz) Tofu
- β1 package Jeon mix (Korean pancake mix)
- β1 cup, shredded Rounded Korean cheddar
- β2 tbsp Sesame oil
- β2 tbsp Gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- β1 tsp Soy sauce
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black pepper
- βfor garnish Chopped green onions

In a large bowl, whisk together jeon mix, soy sauce, and sesame oil.

Add the shredded Korean cheddar and mix until combined.

Cut the tofu into small cubes and add to the bowl.

Mix well to combine.

Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.

Using a 1/4 cup measuring cup, scoop the batter onto the skillet.

Cook for 2-3 minutes, until the edges start to curl and the surface is dry.

Flip the jeon and cook for an additional 2 minutes, until golden brown.

Repeat with the remaining batter, adjusting the heat as needed.

Serve the jeon hot with a side of spicy dipping sauce (made by whisking together gochujang and soy sauce).
