Ethiopian Chicken Skewers
A spicy and flavorful dish from Ethiopia, with marinated chicken cooked to perfection on skewers.
Ingredients
- β1 pound chickenboneless, skinless chicken breast or thighs
- β2 tablespoons saltysoy sauce or tamari
- β1 dozen skewersbamboo or metal skewers
- β1/4 cup silkyhoney or maple syrup

1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.

2. Cut the chicken into 1-inch pieces and place in a large bowl.

3. In a small bowl, whisk together the salty, silky and 2 cloves of minced garlic. Pour the marinade over the chicken and mix well.

4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.

5. Thread the marinated chicken onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.

6. Brush the grill with oil to prevent sticking. Grill the skewers for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, or until the chicken is cooked through.
