Savory Chicken Crumble Casserole
A hearty, comforting casserole made with shredded chicken, topped with a crunchy crumble mixture, perfect for a cold winter evening.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast
- β1 cup savory mixture (see below)
- β1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- β6 tablespoons unsalted butter
- β2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- βto taste salt
- βto taste black pepper
- β1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium heat. Add the boneless, skinless chicken breast and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Shred the chicken with two forks and set aside.

In a separate bowl, mix together the savory mixture, panko breadcrumbs, and shredded cheddar cheese (if using).

In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, arrange 1/2 of the shredded chicken in the bottom of the dish. Top with 1/2 of the savory mixture mixture.

Repeat the layers, starting with the remaining shredded chicken and topping with the remaining savory mixture.

Dot the top of the casserole with the remaining 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is hot and bubbly.
