Spicy Malaysian Stir Fry
A flavorful and spicy stir fry recipe inspired by Malaysian cuisine, featuring savory tofu as the main protein.
Ingredients
- β250g Savory tofudrained and cubed
- β2 tbsp Vegetable oil
- β1 medium Onionsliced
- β2 cloves Garlicminced
- β1-inch piece Gingergrated
- β1 medium Red bell peppersliced
- β200g Snow peastrimmed
- β2 tbsp Soy sauce
- β1 tbsp Hoisin sauce
- β1 tsp Sambal oelek

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the cubed tofu and cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from the wok and set aside.

In the same wok, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.

Add the sliced onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and grated ginger and cook for 1 minute.

Add the sliced red bell pepper and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Add the snow peas and cook until tender, about 2-3 minutes.

Return the cooked tofu to the wok and stir in the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and sambal oelek.

Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, until the sauce has thickened.
