- β8-10 sheets Lasagna noodles
- β1 cup Bechamel sauce
- β1 1/2 cups, shredded Portuguese cheese blend (Queijo de Cabra, Queijo de Serra, Queijo de Azeiteira)
- β1 pound Savory sausage, sliced
- β1 medium Onion, chopped
- β3 cloves Garlic, minced
- β1/4 cup Fresh parsley, chopped
- β Salt and black pepper, to taste
- β2 tablespoons Olive oil
Instructions
- 1
Preheat the oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).
- 2
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 3
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
- 4
In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- 5
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, onion mixture, and chopped parsley. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- 6
In a separate saucepan, prepare the Bechamel sauce according to your recipe or package instructions.
- 7
In a 9x13-inch baking dish, create a layer of lasagna noodles. Spread a layer of Bechamel sauce on top of the noodles, followed by a layer of the sausage mixture. Sprinkle with shredded cheese.
- 8
Repeat the layers two more times, ending with a layer of cheese on top.
- 9
Cook the lasagna in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 10
Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
