Traditional British Spotted Dick Pudding
A classic British dessert made with suet and dried fruits, served with custard.
Ingredients
- β1 cup Spotted dickdried fruit pudding mix
- β1/2 cup Suetbeef or vegetable suet
- β1/2 cup Granulated sugaror to taste
- β2 Eggslarge eggs
- β1 cup Milkwhole milk
- β1 cup Custardstore-bought or homemade
- β2 tablespoons Butterunsalted butter

Preheat oven to 300Β°F (150Β°C).

Grease a 1-pint pudding basin with butter.

In a large mixing bowl, combine suet, sugar, eggs, and milk. Mix well.

Add the spotted dick pudding mix and stir until combined.

Pour the mixture into the prepared pudding basin.

Cover the pudding with a piece of parchment paper and tie with string.

Place the pudding in a large pot and add enough boiling water to come halfway up the side of the pudding.

Cover the pot and simmer for 2 hours.

Remove the pudding from the pot and let it cool for 10 minutes.
