Pan-Seared Korean Pear Tagine
A sweet and savory dessert inspired by Moroccan flavors, featuring seared Korean pear in a spicy tagine sauce.
Ingredients
- β2 Korean pearfirm and ripe
- β1/4 cup Tagine saucestore-bought or homemade
- β2 tbsp Smooth honeyor to taste
- β1 tsp Syrian sumacoptional
- β2 tbsp Butterunsalted
- β1 tsp Silky sesame seedsoptional garnish

Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Peel and core the Korean pear, then slice into 1-inch wedges.

In a small saucepan, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add the tagine sauce and bring to a simmer.

Add the honey and sumac (if using) to the saucepan and stir to combine.

Add the pear wedges to the saucepan and toss to coat with the tagine sauce.

Transfer the pear to a baking dish and dot with the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pear is tender and caramelized.
