Slow Cooked American Chicken Stew
A hearty and comforting slow-cooked stew made with tender chicken and a variety of vegetables in a rich and flavorful broth.

- β4 medium carrots
- β3 medium potatoes
- β1 large onion
- β2 stalks celery
- β2 cups chicken broth
- β1 cup water

Season the chicken with salt and pepper.

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

Add the diced onion and celery to the skillet and cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.

Add the carrots and potatoes to the skillet and cook for an additional 5 minutes.

Transfer the skillet contents to the slow cooker. Add the chicken broth and water to the slow cooker.

Return the chicken to the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
