Turkish Avocado Bowl
A hearty and healthy Turkish-inspired bowl filled with slow-cooked lamb, creamy avocado, and a variety of fresh vegetables.
Ingredients
- β2 tablespoons Extra virgin olive oil
- β1 medium, diced Onioncaramelized
- β2 cloves, minced Garlicminced
- β1 pound Ground lamblean
- β1 teaspoon Cuminground
- β1 teaspoon Paprikasweet
- β2 ripe, diced Avocadoripe
- β1/4 cup, chopped Fresh parsleychopped
- βto taste Salt and pepper

Preheat the oven to 300Β°F (150Β°C).

Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until caramelized, about 20 minutes.

Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Add the lamb and cook, breaking up with a spoon, until no longer pink, about 5 minutes.

Stir in the cumin and paprika. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Transfer the lamb mixture to a baking dish and bake, uncovered, for 20-25 minutes, or until the lamb is cooked through and the flavors have melded together.

While the lamb is cooking, toast some bread or serve with pita.

To assemble the bowls, place a scoop of the slow-cooked lamb on top of a bed of greens, followed by diced avocado, chopped parsley, and a sprinkle of sumac.
