Steamed Russian Dumplings with Mushroom Filling
A traditional Russian dish featuring steamed dumplings filled with sautéed mushrooms.
Ingredients

- ●1/2 cup water
- ●1 cup mushroomsbutton or cremini
- ●1 medium onion
- ●2 cloves garlic

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and water to form a dough.

Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces.

Roll out each piece into a thin circle.

In a pan, sauté mushrooms, onion, and garlic until softened.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Place a spoonful of the mushroom mixture onto the center of each dough circle.

Fold the dough over the filling to form a half-moon shape and press edges together to seal.

Bring a large pot of water to a boil and place a steamer basket over the pot.
