Norwegian Smoked Stew
A hearty stew made with Norwegian smoked meat and a creamy sauce.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Norwegian Smoked MeatCut into bite-sized pieces
- β1 medium OnionChopped
- β2 medium CarrotChopped
- β2 large PotatoChopped
- β1/2 cup CreamHeavy or whipping cream
- β2 tablespoons Hot SauceOptional, for added spice

Heat a large pot over medium-high heat.

Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the chopped carrot and cook for an additional 5 minutes.

Add the chopped potato and cook for 5 minutes.

Add the Norwegian smoked meat and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Pour in enough hot water to cover the ingredients and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, for 20 minutes.

Stir in the heavy cream and cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until heated through.
