Slovakian Smoked Pork Belly with Confit Oranges
A twist on traditional pork belly, smoked to perfection and served with a sweet and tangy confit orange glaze.
Ingredients
- β2 pounds pork bellypreferably smoked
- β2 tablespoons smoked paprika
- β1 cup hot water
- β4 confit oranges
- β2 tablespoons brown sugar
- β2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
Instructions

Preheat smoker to 225Β°F (110Β°C).

Rub the pork belly with smoked paprika, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar.

Place the pork belly in the smoker and cook for 6 hours or until tender.

Meanwhile, prepare the confit orange glaze by reducing hot water and brown sugar to a syrup.

Add the confit oranges to the glaze and simmer for 10 minutes.

Once the pork belly is cooked, brush the confit orange glaze over the top.

Return the pork belly to the smoker for an additional 30 minutes.

Slice the pork belly and serve with additional confit orange glaze on the side.
