Smoky Ploughman's Cheese Tartlets
A twist on the classic Ploughman's, these bite-sized tartlets combine smoky cheese with a hint of British charm. Perfect as a snack or light meal.
Ingredients
- β1 block (150g) Smoky cheesesuch as smoked cheddar or Lancashire
- β1 block (150g) Morbier cheesecow's milk, semi-soft
- β1 sheet Puff pastrythawed
- β1 box (12 crackers) Ploughman's crackersfor serving
- β1 sprig Fresh thymefor garnish
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black pepper

Preheat the oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Roll out the puff pastry to a thickness of about 1/8 inch (3 mm).

Cut out small squares of pastry, about 3 inches (7.5 cm) per side.

Place a small spoonful of smoky cheese in the center of each square.

Top with a small spoonful of morbier cheese.

Fold the pastry squares in half to form triangles, pressing the edges to seal.

Brush the tops with a little water and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
