Crispy Smoky Bao
A fusion of Vietnamese and Chinese flavors in a crispy, smoky bao. Perfect as a snack or light meal.
Ingredients
- ●1 package Smoky Bao Dough
- ●1/4 cup Vegan Vegetable Oil
- ●1 head, shredded Crisp Lettuce
- ●1 cup, diced Crispy Smoked Tofu
- ●1/4 cup, chopped Cilantro
- ●2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
- ●1 tablespoon Sesame Oil

Preheat a non-stick pan or a toaster oven to 400°F (200°C).

Cut the Smoky Bao Dough into small balls and flatten them slightly into disks.

Heat the Vegan Vegetable Oil in the pan or toaster oven until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Fry the bao disks for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.

Drain the fried bao on paper towels.

In a separate pan, heat the Soy Sauce and Sesame Oil over medium heat.

Add the diced Crispy Smoked Tofu and cook until heated through.

Assemble the bao by placing a few pieces of the tofu mixture onto a fried bao disk, followed by some shredded Crisp Lettuce and chopped Cilantro.
