Smoky Portuguese Tart
A rich and savory tart filled with smoky cheese and Portuguese meat. Perfect for a dinner party or special occasion.
Ingredients
- ●1 cup, crumbled Smoky CheesePortuguese Queijo
- ●1 pound, sliced Portuguese SausageChouriço or Linguiça
- ●1 sheet, thawed Puff Pastryfor crust
- ●1 Egg, beatenfor egg wash
- ● Salt and Pepper
Instructions

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

Roll out puff pastry to a thickness of 1/8 inch.

Transfer pastry to a 9-inch tart pan with a removable bottom.

In a large skillet, cook sliced sausage over medium-high heat until browned.

Transfer cooked sausage to a bowl and set aside.

Sprinkle crumbled cheese over the bottom of the pastry crust.

Arrange cooked sausage slices on top of cheese.

Brush edges of pastry with beaten egg for a golden glaze.
