Grilled Smoky Chicken Shawarma
A flavorful Middle Eastern-inspired dish, perfect for a quick and delicious meal. Marinated chicken is grilled to perfection and served in a pita with your favorite toppings.
Ingredients

- β2 teaspoons smoky paprikaadd to marinade

- β1/4 cup mulukhiyah saucestore-bought or homemade

In a large bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup olive oil, 2 cloves minced garlic, 1 teaspoon ground cumin, 1 teaspoon smoked paprika, and 1/2 teaspoon salt.

Add the chicken breast to the marinade and mix well to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.

Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade and cook for 5-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165Β°F.

Meanwhile, grill the pita bread for 1-2 minutes per side, or until lightly toasted.

Assemble the shawarma by slicing the grilled chicken into thin strips and serving on a pita bed with mulukhiyah sauce, lettuce, tomato, and red onion.
