Smoky Wagyu Italian Stew
A hearty Italian-inspired stew featuring tender wagyu beef and a rich smoky flavor. Perfect for a cold evening.
Ingredients
- β1.5 lbs Wagyu beefCut into 1-inch cubes
- β2 cups Smoky tomatoesCanned or fresh, diced
- β1 cup German beerUsed for braising
- β2 medium CarrotsPeeled and sliced
- β1 large OnionsChopped
- β3 cloves GarlicMinced
- β1 tsp Italian seasoningDried
- β.5 tsp Salt
- β.25 tsp Pepper
- β2 cups StewBouillon or broth

Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Sear the wagyu beef cubes until browned on all sides, then set aside.

Add the chopped onions to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.

Add the sliced carrots, diced tomatoes, German beer, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

Stir to combine, then add the seared wagyu beef and stew.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then cover and transfer to the oven.

Braise the stew at 300Β°F for 2.5 hours, or until the beef is tender.
